KEPHRA works to dismantle deeply rooted barriers to gender equality. Under the Gender Democracy Program, we carried out sensitization initiatives in Narok, Kisii, Garissa, Migori, and Nyamira counties. These interventions combined social awareness and legal enforcement to address Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) and Early, Child, and Forced Marriages (EFCM), tackling both causes and consequences of these harmful practices.
We continue to champion the rights of women and sexual and gender minorities, pushing back against patriarchal norms and creating legal and social solutions that empower vulnerable groups.
